A limited number of scholarships are available for people with mental health, intellectual or physical disabilities. We are a welcoming community, however our resources to support you over this weekend are limited. So we make the following offer:
Where personal support or a support worker is required, it’s necessary that the individual applying will be accompanied by a person throughout the weekend. At time of applying for the scholarship, we ask that applicants provide a copy of a companion card or other equivalent credentials for their attending support person. We encourage support people to assist making applications for the scholarships..
The applicant and/or support persons accept responsibility for their wellbeing and care throughout the weekend, as would be the case in attendance at other public activities.
Note, the site is a bush camp, without formal designated accessibility features. We would love the camp to be accessible to all, though in reality at this time, some people’s mobility and personal needs may not be catered for at the venue.
The grant funds will directly support attendance by people with disabilities. The organisers will admit one designated support person per successful applicant, free of charge.
Scholarship recipients and their support worker will agree to abide by the values of the event.
